The Tamaya Planix 6 Digital Planimeter is a high-grade digital planimeter that measures regular and irregular shapes on 2-dimensional maps, plans and drawings. It measures elongated and irregular shapes as well as straight lines.  Precise measurements are displayed on the LCD screen as the roller scans, eliminating the need for manual calculations or chart references.  Its accuracy is better than +/-0.2 percent and it reads and displays area measurements in square centimeters or inches.  Plus, there are user control features. The Planix 6 digital planimeter provides accurate measurements of any shape including rectangular, curved, elongated, or completely irregular.  Use the magnifying lens to trace the contour of the diagram.  As you trace, the Planix 6 automatically scales and displays the results  metric units
