The new optical design adopted in the VSI SZ30 Stereo Zoom Microscope facilitates excellent field flatness, good contrast and high definition images in the wide field, especially at the periphery of the field of view. The combination of compact design, long working distance and high quality optics makes the SZ30 ideal for use in professional applications, such as semi-conductor, precision component inspection and research.  The VSI SZ30 has a continuous magnification range of 6.7X to 45X and features excellent optics.  Included are a pair of high eye point, wide angle eyepieces, and a new ball bearing rack stand with tension adjustment.  The tightness of the ball bearing rack and pinion stand is adjustable by counter rotating the focus adjustment knobs.  The par focal optical system is coupled with a pair of diopter adjustments, and is adjustable for both eyes, assuring that no refocusing throughout the entire zoom magnification range is required.  These separate diopter adjustments have a range of +5 to -5, allowing a person requiring correction within this range to use the microscope comfortably without glasses.
